Endowed scholarship in Anthony Polizzi's honor

Our brother Anthony loved his time as a student at Canisius High School in Buffalo, NY (Class of 2007). At Canisius, he met some of his best friends and solidified his most characteristic values of selflessness, caring, and togetherness. Anthony was truly a Man for Others. He passed away suddenly and unexpectedly while hiking on December 29, 2020, doing what he loved most: spending time with his best friends. We want to celebrate Anthony's life and the values he upheld by creating an endowed scholarship in Anthony's name. Anthony's scholarship will support students in need at Canisius High School, so that they may have the kinds of formative experiences that meant so much to Anthony.

We want this gift to continue in perpetuity, and to do so we must raise a minimum of $50,000 for the endowment (My family has contributed 20%, which makes our GoFundMe goal $40,000.). Even if we cannot achieve this goal, all funds we raise will still be used for student scholarships at Canisius High School in Anthony's name. Thank you so much for helping to honor the memory of our brother Anthony by helping students to follow in his footsteps.

Canisius is a Catholic, Jesuit, college-preparatory school founded in 1870 for boys in grades 9 through 12.
