*w e are seeking funds to take her out of country to see a Endo specialist that does Endo mapping and excision surgery, including robotics.

Our granddaughter Talia, whom we have raised since she was a little girl, is just 20 years old and fighting a brutal battle with endometriosis. This is a disease that causes severe, disabling pain—and for Talia, that pain has taken over her life in ways no young woman should ever have to endure.
Since the end of September, her pain has become so unbearable that we’ve had to call an ambulance multiple timesbecause we can no longer manage her attacks at home, even with the “pain cocktail” prescribed to her.

These are terrifying moments—watching her collapse, unable to move or speak through the pain.

The reality is heartbreaking:
The medical system is failing us.
We have done everything we were told to do. We followed the referral process, only to be told that gynecologists aren’t accepting new patients.

The one gynecologist who finally accepted her referral cannot see her until 2027, and that appointment is only a consultation, not treatment. Meanwhile, her condition continues to worsen.
We cannot let her lose years of her life waiting.

She needs specialized surgery, and the only realistic option is to seek treatment outside of Canada, where she can be seen urgently by an endometriosis specialist.

We are doing everything we can as her grandparents, but we cannot do this alone.

This is why we are reaching out—humbly, desperately, and with all the love we have.

If you are able to donate, share, or simply keep Talia in your thoughts, we are deeply grateful.

Every bit of help brings her one step closer to a life not defined by pain.
Thank you for supporting our family, and for fighting alongside us for Talia’s chance at proper care and healing

* Talia has HAD 41 Plus Ambulance rides since September with the most recent one being January 7/26, all that happens when she goes to the hospital is pain management.

The paramedics administer high doses of opioids before she departs for the hospital, once she gets to the hospital pain management continues with more opioids.
This is no way for a young woman to live.
when she has her good days. She takes great advantage of them, but we wait for the next attack, which can happen in a moment

we have exhausted all forms of pain management at home, which has been switched up twice, letters sent off to the minister of health, the premier of Alberta MLA‘s, our healthcare system in this country, and in this province is broken as grandparents we are at a loss with how this system is treating women’s health.
