Endometriosis Operation & Support 28.09.23
Donation protected
To My Village,
I am a young Australian woman battling stage 4 Endometriosis. I underwent Laparoscopic surgery in September 2022 for Endometriosis excision and ovarian cystectomy, upon waking up from my operation I was in complete disbelief and shock when my surgeon said it was unsuccessful and that I would need to be referred to a different surgeon.
Overall my medical-related costs are around 15 thousand to date. I have had to undergo psychological treatment for mental stress, a chiropractor for the pain, and numerous other medical professionals to prepare for surgery.
I am currently in medically induced menopause which consists of a monthly injection called ZOLADEX and has a complex list of side effects, I am managing them and it has helped with my pain symptoms in the interim, however, I am running the risk of long-term damage with this medication.
My next operation will be 3 hours in theatre and a 2- night hospital stay.
This will cost approximately $7,000 + hospital excess ($750) + Anaesthetist ($1250) + Medications and so on.
Dr.T will perform a Laparoscopy, resection of severe Endometriosis + Cystectomy + Adhesiolysis + Hysteroscopy with Dilation and Curettage + Cystoscopy.
Thank you all sincerely from the bottom of my heart, for showing ANY support and taking the time to listen to my story. If you wish to follow my journey, I have a separate account on Instagram (@SHESWELLL) where I will share and spread awareness about ENDOMETRIOSIS and my journey, and I will change lives with my advocacy.
Wake up and smell the roses and and if you cant, bee a cactus and bee the change because only then will flowers blossom -@SHESWELLL
To anyone suffering from this illness or any chronic illness, I send you all my love, and support but most of all I wish you all good health.
Any funds that exceed out-of-pocket expenses will be donated to Endometriosis Research.
