End-of-Life In Her Own Home
Donation protected
My aunt was diagnosed with multiple myeloma three years ago. She was a teacher in Dartmouth, MA, but since COVID, she had to retire early since her illness puts her in the high risk category. She has tried numerous treatments and trials to get the multiple myeloma in remission to no avail. She's onto her next trial. She will only have one more trial to attempt if this one doesn't work.
In the meantime, she's worried about her finances because she applied for disability, but was denied (not sure how this is even possible). She is getting some retirement funding, but because she had to retire early and because she started teaching later in life, it's not as much as you'd think.
She is a loving and giving Momma Bear of four, two of whom she adopted. While her two older children are adults and out of the home, the youngest lives full time with his father, and her other teenage son lives with her at home.

If she sells her home, her only option is to move in with her friend while her teenage son moves in with his father. As you know, if she rented an apartment, it is as expensive as mortgage.
She has two last wishes:
1. A trip to Italy, which her best friend and I will gifting to her (pending things with COVID and how her illness progresses).
2. To spend her remaining time in her home with her teenage son.
Can you help make her second wish come true?
