End-of-Life expenses for Keith McKellar
Donation protected
It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Keith McKellar (55). Keith was a beloved husband to his high school sweetheart, Paula and a loving father to his two children Jessica and Austin.
A year and a half ago, Keith went to his doctor and was given news that was devastating. His doctors told him that he had esophageal cancer localized at the top of his stomach and bottom of his esophagus junction. After having several treatments and major surgery, his doctors informed him that his cancer had spread to several areas and wasn't curable, only treatable. This news was understandably hard for Keith and his family.
At the time of this news, he knew he had to do something before it was too late. He bought a life insurance policy in hopes of being able to provide for his family once he was no longer here. Unfortunately, two years was the time frame he had to survive in order to get benefits for his life insurance policy. Sadly, Keith's cancer did not give him that amount of time. The timeline given to him by his doctors was one year or less because of the aggressive nature of his cancer, and Keith met his heavenly father on Sunday, September 5th 2021.
Although Keith is now healed, whole, and at peace in heaven, his family is still grieving this major loss. While this time should be reserved for the family to rest and heal, they can't help but try to figure out how to pay for Keith's end-of-life expenses. Because of the time frame with the life insurance policy, the funeral cost and remaining medical bills are expected to be paid out of pocket by the family.
As a friend of the McKellar family, I am asking that if you can contribute in any way, it would be greatly appreciated by the family. It’s now our turn to give back and help the McKellar family as they deal with this loss. The money that is raised will firstly go towards Keith's funeral costs, and any excess money will be put toward Keith's medical bills occurred from cancer treatments and surgeries.
