It is with a heavy heart that we share that on the early morning of Friday, May 27th, Theresa passed in her home of a pulmonary embolism in the company of her devoted spouse Jes, and beloved dog Dillon.

We are consoled with the knowledge that her battle was brief and her passing

merciful.

My name is Audrey, one of the many close friends of Theresa. I've put together this fundraiser to help cover end-of-life expenses for Theresa's spouse, Jes Spires.

Theresa was a brilliant artist and kind human being who painted a beautiful life full of the things and people that brought her joy. We were so fortunate that she created a space for us in her masterpiece.

This city is brimming with her art; her paintings, portraits, bottles, and murals grace hundreds of homes. Her legacy is remarkable and as beautiful as she was. She left us with the gifts of her memory as unique as her relationship with each of us.

Theresa cultivated hundreds of friendships in her brief but brilliant life, and I know that so many ache for her loss. You have all generously expressed a desire to support, assist, and pay tribute to her memory; my hope is that contributing to this fund will assist in her spouse's end-of-life expenses and help relieve some of the heaviness in your heart.

Details of her memorial will be announced soon, and we will also be putting together a fundraiser event in the weeks following her memorial.
