Hello there!  My name is Michelle, and I'd like you to meet the Jimenez family.  They are truly an example of great people who have been challenged as a family unit.  I have the pleasure of working with Rafael, who is the father.  He is amazing; there isn't anything he won't do for his family.  Esmerelda is the mother.  She is the glue of the family, keeping everyone together.  Ariel is the eldest daughter, and she is quite the spitfire.  Smart and athletic, she loves learning new things, and teaching her parents, too!  And Miranda is the most recent member of the family.  She is about to turn one year old.  

Miranda is quite ill with a rare genetic disorder which will ultimately claim her life.  The end is relatively near, for the life expectancy for these babies is 12 months.  Approximately four years ago, it claimed the life of another daughter, Violet, who succumbed to the same disease.  If you think losing a child is devestating, try living through it twice.  That is what the Jimenez family is doing right now; living, taking it day by day.  

Miranda's medical bills are taking a toll on the family's finances.  The family is living in one room in a house to face these circumstances together.   They are making serious sacrifices for Miranda's health and well being while she is blessing them with her presence here on Earth.  Esmerelda is not working, because she needs to be with Miranda.  Rafael is working full time and then some, but it just isn't enough. The financial situation is getting dire.  They need a hand up.   We need to Do The Right Thing.  

The funds donated through this page will help pay for medical bills and hopefully give the Jimenez family  little breathing room.  This is a time to enjoy Miranda, and it is very difficult to do when you're worrying about how to pay for anything and everything.  

Being that I know Rafael though where we work at Restoration Hardware, I am reminded of our company Vision:
