Endless Giver Needs our Help from Hurricane Ian
Donation protected
Hello! I’m Marianne Douglas, the web designer for Kahlua Beach Club on Ft. Myers Beach Florida. I’m also an owner and have been for over 30 years. I’ve never missed a year. The place, the staff, the other owners are that special. Hurricane Ian has changed everything for all of us but especially the staff.
One of them needs our help. Here’s what the assistant manager had to say about John Layton, the maintenance staff member:
“Hard work, humility and kindness are not often acknowledged. John has always been one to put himself before others, to help out when needed without accepting anything in return.
This devastating hurricane has uprooted John’s professional and personal life in many ways. In addition to his employer’s resort on Ft. Myers Beach (Kahlua Beach Club) taking a devastating direct hit from Hurricane Ian, John’s home also sustained major damage.
Losing parts of his roof caused some of his ceiling to collapse and rain water to saturate insulation, drywall, carpeting and personal items.
All of this and yet there is more.
John’s longtime business in which he has helped countless others recover from water damage to their homes and businesses has also suffered a loss. His professional equipment has been lost due to the hurricane.
All donations will go directly to John to help him rebuild.
Words cannot fully express our gratitude but thank you so much for helping out and acknowledging our friend.”
