David Wood

David grew up in Hancock, Maine. His love of sports was apparent from the earliest of age, adopting the Bruins, Celtics, New England Patriots and -needing one bone to pick with his father- the Yankees, as his teams. Throughout his life, he could recount how each game went, particularly which calls the refs messed up. He could cite you statistics and predictions faster than any sports broadcaster. And there was almost never a day he was not donning apparel from one of his teams.

Wherever David went, his smile, his love and his massive heart were sure to shine through. He was a beacon of God’s light and love in this world. Whether you saw him smiling & waving as he strolled Hyannis, welcoming you to his congregation, dancing to his praise music, organizing football squares at Thanksgiving, loving on your pets, taking in a Cape Cod league baseball game, coordinating who’s next up to the dart board, or recounting the latest sports game, his presence will be missed in this world.
