End the Stigma and Support Surgeries for 5 HIV Patients
Tax deductible
At Operation Shanti, we serve the most vulnerable—destitute children and adults in India—by providing food, shelter, education, and medical care. Today, we urgently need your help to support five HIV-positive patients in Mysore who are suffering from painful, untreated conditions due to the stigma and inaccessibility of healthcare.
Despite public hospitals being mandated to treat HIV+ patients, these individuals have been turned away, neglected, or pushed through endless referrals. Their suffering has gone on for years—and now, they need compassionate donors like you to help them finally receive the care they deserve.
Meet the Patients You Can Help
Shanthamma needs a complex hysterectomy. For months, the public hospital sent her from scan to scan without ever taking action.
Shashikala has a painful uterine fibroid and also needs a hysterectomy. Like Shanthamma, she faced months of delays and indifference.
Sampagaiah is suffering from advanced hip necrosis and needs a hip replacement. He cannot afford surgery at a private hospital, and the public system has failed him.
Rheka has a large growth in her uterus and lives in a remote village where no hospital has taken her case seriously.
Sujatha has endured cervical spondylosis for seven years. Operating on her is risky, but her HIV status has led doctors to turn her away instead of offering options or even pain relief.
We are also supporting Mubeen, a homeless man, with his surgery to replace his hip joint.
One Hospital is Willing to Help—But We Need Funds
There is one hospital near our children’s home that courageously provides surgeries for HIV+ patients. They are ready to help, but the procedures must be funded. Your donation will go directly toward medical costs—no overhead, no delay.
How You Can Make a Difference
Every dollar helps us get closer to life-saving surgeries. Whether you can give $25 or $2,500, your generosity will bring relief, dignity, and hope to those who have been waiting far too long.
All donations are tax-deductible.
Please consider giving today—and help us stand up to stigma with compassion.
