Hi All, My name is Jeanine Cohen, I am working on a TNR Project with my mentor and friend, Natalie- president/founder of Lost Paws INC. of Wappingers Fall NY.
We are am desperately trying to raise funds so we can help (through TNR) at minimum 15+ cats and at least one kitten at a dealership.
Unfortunately, prior to us getting involved, two kittens (that I know of) were recently run over and died.
We were able to rescue one kitten from that same litter and we were trying for her brother, but he died of illness before we could rescue him.
It’s imperative that these cats are spayed/neutered asap. If they aren’t they will continue to reproduce, litter after litter, birthing hundreds of kittens in a years time and most of those kittens will not make it to six months of age.
Did you know the average female cat can have three litters per year? With that said, most of these cats are females (have tricolor fur which means female)
At this location, kittens are, and will continue to, suffer and die of illness and/or get run over or die because they are climbing into the car engines.
TNR is the only humane approach to prevent this suffering and unnecessary death and we need your help.
These cats will be humanely trapped, taken to a veterinarian to be neutered and vaccinated. After recovery, these cats will be returned to their home, their colony, outdoors.
Any kittens and cats who are friendly and/ or able to be socialized will be adopted into homes.
The out of pocket expense is 61 dollars just to spay/ neuter, vaccinate and treat for fleas. This does not include any medical cost/ food/ litter etc.
