End Poverty In Guatemala

Mentors Guatemala is a non profit organization dedicated to the elimination of poverty by providing inexpensive capital, financial, and educational support to Guatemalans, who want to start or expand a farm or business. So far we have helped 83,000 (roughly 498,000 individuals) families lift themselves out of poverty. Poverty is a constant companion for many Guatemalans and therefore our aim is to help them achieve the financial power to provide their families three, instead of one meal a day, shoes and clothing, and be able to send their children to school, as receiving an education is a precious luxury out of reach for many Guatemalans. When Children receive education the cycle of poverty is broken. Your donations are dedicated to that important end. They are packaged in the form of micro-loans, typically around $400 each,  with a very low interest rate, the proceeds of which are used to pay the very low operating expenses of Mentors Guatemala, thus ensuring that your donation goes 100% to helping the Guatemalan people and not our pocketbooks.  As the name implies, Mentors then trains clients in how to operate a viable farm or business with those loans. The clients then pay back the loan and then those funds are used to lift yet another family out of poverty! Our success rate is exceptionally high while our default rate is almost non-existant. We believe in giving people a hand up into prosperity! We have plans to boldly expand our program to be able to help thousands more families achieve self-sufficiency and we urge you to help us. Your donations are helping us build a strong, happy, and prosperous Guatemala, from the ground up. Any donation is deeply appreciated and we hope you will join us in this noble endeavor. ¡Muchas Gracias!
