My heart aches as I write this. As many of you know, my loving brother Kipp was diagnosed with Stage III esophageal/stomach cancer in December of 2021. He underwent brutal surgery where they removed his esophagus and stomach in March of 2022. We hoped and prayed that he would recover and be able to live a relatively normal (or "new" normal) life with the love of his life, Kate Taylor Krauk, and enjoy the next chapter of his life. However, his journey has been difficult, and he has been plagued with pain and various heart-wrenching medical issues. We are now faced with the horrible reality that Kipp will not be coming home from his latest hospital visit. We have learned that the cancer is back with a vengeance...He has a large mass in his chest, and his lymph nodes are also involved. As is common with this type of cancer, he now has blood clots in both lungs, legs, and throughout his body. His lungs (and body) are filled with fluid, and it's just more than his body can fight. He has hours/days left. He has spent countless hours as a respiratory therapist helping others during their time of need. He has served many with compassion, love and humor during their life journey.
I am raising money to help with Kipp's final expenses during his time of need. Anything left over will go to his new family to help them transition to life without Kipp. Anyone that knows him loves him. He has always been light-hearted, loving, accepting and YES, obnoxious and infectious with his laughter. And that's why we love him so! I beg you to please help him...and his wife, Kate, during this time. I wanted to do this a long time ago, but Kipp has always been a private person- he's not on social media...but NOW it matters more than ever. He needs us. I love each of you for your contribution and prayers...no matter how big or small. THANK YOU. Much love and respect, Kimmie.
