End of life Expenses for Timothy S. Ruef
Donation protected
Tim has touched our lives in so many ways. He, like so many of us, had his struggles in life. He overcame his demons and remained true to himself. He cared for and loved all of us, very much. Tim influenced many of us as we grew up, and is be part of some of my best memories of growing up in Bremerton. Tim was never afraid to live life, he made life an adventure. Tim was able to take risks that others might not take because he wasn't afraid to fail, only to not try.
Part of his life and love that some of us didn't get to know is Mary. Mary is Tim's wife and part of the reason he worked so hard to change his life, and grow. She was his rock and inspiration. Mary is an amazing, strong, and intelligent woman. ( she would have to be to live a life with Tim )And Tim loved her with everything he was.
These last few weeks Mary took care of Tim. She spent every minute with him. She was worried to leave his side because "What if he dies when I'm not there? I can't let him die alone, I am afraid that he will die and I won't be there for him" She was with him, turning to him cleaning him. She read the msgs to him that we sent And held him when he took his last breath so that he would know that he was loved and maybe not be afraid.
We are asking our family to help Mary. She had not worked while caring for Tim the last few weeks. Now rent and utilities are due. Also, Tim has children who should be able to attend a Memorial for their father and know how much their dad meant to us. She has also spent what money she and her family had on the things that we have to do after some we love dies.
I know that not all of us have a lot right now but Anything will help. Donations will go to help with cremation ( that alone is almost $2,500 ) and to help with living expenses for Mary and Tims's children.
Thank you, very, very much.
