Hi, my name is katherine Lee and Rodney Neal is my stepfather. He was my mom's (kimberly) first boyfriend way back in 1979! Life took them on different paths and they found their way back to each other in 2017. They went on one date and have been with each other 24/7 since then. Rodney has been such a blessing in our lives since that moment and we were given so much peace that my mom was in good hands. They FINALLY got married this April on a whim and she called us all saying it was the happiest day of her life.

Sadly, Rodney was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer in May. By the time that we were able to figure out what it was and start treatment, it was too late. On july 7 (my mom's birthday) she took him to the hospital to get some fluids following radiation and he has been in the hospital ever since. Today, july 29, he was moved into hospice and is not expected to make it past this week. Previously this week, we were given a 1-3 month estimate. We thought we had more time.

I am scrambling to try and make sure that we can afford funeral and burial costs for Rodney as this has all happened so quickly. The other ask that I have is for any donations to help me move my mom closer to me in Lexington. She and Rodney live about 1.5 hours from me and I cannot fathom leaving her alone throughout this grieving process.
