End of life care for Modesto
Donation protected
My husband Modesto came to Loule, Portugal,. in 2015 from Canada to care for his elderly parents. I came from New Zealand on the 1st of January 2016 to help him. We were married in September 2106 and although he has had some health issues we have had such a lovely life here together. He had a large tumour removed in August 2016. Late last year he picked up his father when he fell and damaged the L4 vertebrae. Unbeknown to us there was a tumour inside which has rapidly spread and lodged along his spine. He is now unable to walk and has limited arm movement. He is presently in IPO Lisbon and I am trying to bring him home. They have given him a year to live and we hope to make the most of our time left together. He's a very young 63 and was always so full of life that I would love to give him some happy and loving memories for as long as possible. Due to the Covid 19 virus we have been unable to secure home help and most agencies here are either closed or waitlisting. I am funding mainly to secure a male nurse or similar and help to give him quality of life.
