Burial Expenses for Chelsea

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Brooke and I am Chelsea's youngest sister.

As I write this, Chelsea is transitioning to hospice care after a long battle with many ailments, surgeries, and hospital stays over the past year.

Most people close to Chelsea know that she has battled addiction for a very long time. She fought hard to get clean in 2020 but eventually succumbed to addiction once again, overdosing in July of 2022. She gradually awoke from a coma and slowly regained strength, but was never really able to walk, eat, or care for herself again. Since then she has been between hospital stays and in the care of our father, who is disabled himself, but tried so very hard to accommodate all of Chelsea's unique needs. Our mom died from similar circumstances 15 years ago so needless to say this has been excruciating for our family. Chelsea is only 36. She has pneumonia, on top of everything else, and is expected to pass soon.

I am writing this in the hopes that we can raise enough money to give Chels a dignified, natural burial at Prairie Creek Conservation Cemetery in Gainesville--the home of her beloved Gators. Chelsea hasn't worked in years due to disability and leaves nothing behind. Our family would so greatly appreciate, and lovingly accept, any donation to help give Chelsea this final gift.

For those that didn't know Chelsea, she was much more than her addiction; she was a daughter, a sister, a mother, aunt, and a friend. She loved N*SYNC (she was totally in love with Lance Bass), Gator football, cooking, and drawing. She always wanted to be a chef and she loved animals, especially kitties. She was the big sister willing to give rides when us younger kids didn't have licenses and was always down for a late-night sandwich and card game. She was funny, thoughtful, caring, and I already miss her so much. Her absence will forever create a void in many hearts.

We love you Chelsea xxx
