End of days and my fight to stay

Hi everyone,

My name is Jyoti and I’ve been fighting a battle with Cancer for four years now. I have been a blue collar labourer my whole life living pay check to pay check so I get that times are tough for so many of us.. That in mind, I’m asking for a dollar or anything you can afford and a share of my go fund me. I initially had my amount set at one million since there’s no option to set a high and low end. A million shares and donations of a dollar each could do it without putting anyone out. How amazing would that be? Do I need a million? No, but if someone that has so much it wouldn’t hurt them I’d gladly accept it.

I was diagnosed at the start of COVID and that in itself saved my life. Had it not been for being sent home from work I would never have afforded the time to go to the hospital and investigate my symptoms.

My treatment started with thirty five rounds of radiation, Monday to Friday for seven weeks with chemo on Wednesdays.

After the first treatment my nasopharyngeal cancer appeared to be gone. At the one year check in it was back but had metastasized to to cover almost all my liver and moved to my spine where it fractured my T2 vertebrae. My oncologist estimated I had three months at most to live (Nov last year) and chemo may or may not help at all.

So began round two with the chemo After the full cycle of chemo my tumours had been reduced by approximately 80% and my estimated survival rate increased to possibly two years.

Since the second round I’ve been considered terminal by conventional courses of treatment that are considered palliative. The chemo will also “just stop working” at some point and can’t kill off my cancer thus the paliative definition. This battle has caused severe drops in blood levels, loss of taste buds, huge weight losses, hearing issues, weakness, pain, and other issues some of which have corrected themselves and some of which will not.

Six months later brings us to present where the scans have shown significant growth again and I’ve started my third round of chemo. The start of this third round of treatment is partly why I have an urgent need for funding. I started with all my blood levels at good levels and that lasted for the first two doses. This weeks third dose I wasn’t able to get because my platelets dropped below a safe level and getting the dose might kill me. This is disappointing for me to say the least. It could mean my body might not react safely to the chemo and therefore I would have no remaining conventional medical options. Needing to find a wholistic medical practitioner would mean all cost need to be covered by me and that being the case I expect with the two year potential survival estimate of my oncologist that would create my actual need at approximately 200,000 to cover mounting medical costs. If I can get anywhere close citó this amount my sister in law Heather Mackey just became a licensed financial advisor and can help me to make sure the money can grow so I can cover myself if the fight goes longer. Please help me hit that goal.

The battle thus far has been financially covered by the healthcare system, some good benefits from my last job, two go fund me’s which raised about thirty five hundred on one and five grand on the other, and a ton of support by family and friends. I currently am covered by disability retirement which covers my rent and bills and leaves very close to nothing for food, life, and treatment.

I need financial support from anyone and everyone. I think most of my family and friends have already done or are doing everything they can and I am tapped out.

What I need is to be able to afford a wholistic healthcare professional and all the accompanying treatments, food, and not having to constantly worry that I’ll be out in the street with nothing. I would like to be able to cover gas to be able to travel and visit the people I love as much as I can while I’m still physically able. My travel accommodations consist of my van so the only expenses for that are gas and food. If this all goes sideways and I don’t make it I would like to at least have enjoyed that.

Please, please, please, give what you can and share this everywhere!

To everyone that read this far thank you! I need this go fundme to reach what? Maybe 800K people in the hopes that 200K of them might have a buck or more they can share. Sitting in bed sick being reminded that my time here might be cut drastically short so if I can beat this cold and get back to fighting the terminal cancer I’d really like to be able to enjoy these last few years “stress free” as possible (poverty is not stress free, quite the opposite) so PLEASE SHARE THIS EVERYWHERE. I know maybe 300 people on social media so maybe everyone (and some people with a broader reach than myself) could get this out everywhere. Thank you!
