Hope & Encouragement 4 Flint
Donation protected
EYL ( Enjoy Your Life) 365 Project is a community based art project. Our mission is to revive the Hope, Drive, and Passion back into the youth through various forms of Art and Creative Expression. We inspire youth to explore innovative ideas to make a social and economic change in their community through the form of ART. We have partnered with the Diversity Theatre who seeks to challenge adversity and oppression within social and cultural environments through plays and productions. We both believe that ART is the stimulant for Change in the Community, providing an inspiration and motivation for those that will employ its Power.
During this distress time in Flint, Michigan. It's very important to extend words of creativity, compassion, and empathy, coupled with deep sense of humanity that will provide healing and restorative expressions for the families that are experiencing profound emotional traumas from the Flint crisis.
We are encouraging students from other cities to take 15 to 30 minutes from their class time to write words of hope & encouragement in the form of a poem for the students affected by the Flint Water Crisis.

EYL 365 PROJECT and Diversity Theater is asking you to donate the amount that is equivalent to a case of water. Then, each set of poems that was sent into us will be matched to each donation. We believe that these poems will be a sense of encouragement and hope to obtain their strength during this experience of trauma and hardship from the Flint Water Crisis.
We will be personally hand delivering the letters, drawings, poems and donations to Freeman Elementary on March 24th.
Your donations will go to the following schools listed below:

-Freeman Elementary School
-Eisenhower Elementary School

They both are two of three in the Flint School District that tested above 15 parts per billion for lead.
"Remember art has the amazing ability to heal, and that human connections underlie our most basic needs and our most rewarding experiences."
100% of the donations will go to Freeman Elementary for water, and any other supplies needed for the water crisis.
Let's stop this from happening in your city or your home We all need to be aware of our deteriorating infrastructure (water systems, lakes, tunnel, bridges, water, and roads across this country)
