Blooming through Breast Cancer

In 2022 I decided to travel unknown roads. With my Faith in tow, I packed up and moved to Miami, Florida! I had big hopes of taking my thriving flower cart to a new city!

I quickly found that uncharted territories can be tough. Starting a new business can be tough. Being in a city without family can be tough. A stage 3 breast cancer diagnosis at 30 years old is extremely tough.

Yes, You've read it right. I was diagnosed with stage 3, triple negative breast cancer, in July 2023. I am currently undertaking 16 rounds of chemotherapy, possible radiation, and will have a double mastectomy early summer 2024.

Who would have thought that the flower lady on a bike, who originally moved to the Sunshine state to spread joy through flowers, would be forced in her own bike tracks to stop and smell the roses.

I trust the journey and am grateful for the support of those closest to me during this trying time. I'm remaining positive, grateful and hopeful in the God that I serve; but this process hasn't been easy.

The aggressive treatments are not only physically taxing, they have resulted in a pause on my business, and critically hindering my income. The costs of chemotherapy, surgeries, transportation, and personal assistance on top of living expenses have become overwhelming.

I humbly ask my family, friends, associates, and anyone who resonates with my story to be a blessing to me, so that I can continue to be a blessing to others. The financial support would mean the world to me.

No matter my current circumstances, I find comfort in knowing that I am still in full bloom.
