Hi, my name is Bill and my wife Becki has pulmonary hypertension. It makes it very difficult for her to breathe, but in spite of that, she works 3 days a week as an accountant. She has been in and out of the hospital many times because of being short of breath. Yesterday she was told by her heart and lung doctors that the only thing that could stop this from getting worse would be to have a heart and lung transplant. Medicare would cover most of the medical expenses, but would not cover travel and lodging or loss of pay for both of us during a 6 week recovery time. I have used up all my paid leave time taking her to doctor appointments and going to the hospital multiple times. With no income except for social security, I’m not sure how we can meet the extra expenses along with our regular bills. It isn’t a question of whether or not to have the surgery. This is the only thing that can help her and I don’t want to lose her. She is everything to me. We appreciate anything you can do. Please contribute if you feel you can, but if not, please share this message to as many others as you can. Above all, please pray for Becki. Thank you so much for caring.
