Hi my name is Elsa and I’m holding this medical fundraiser. If you haven’t had the absolute joy of meeting Soyla Reyna and her precious son Zack you’re missing out! At 10 years old Zack was diagnosed with an inoperable brain aneurysm he wasn’t expected to live much longer. He was granted a wish through the make a wish foundation. He lived! He’s fought through years of health issues and debilitating struggles and setbacks always with the goal of unselfishly helping others. This mother and son are behind the Zackary Reyna making a difference scholarship, they’ve partnered with the Wally Warriors scholarship, they are Ambassadors for the Make a Wish Foundation, Zack holds the world record for raising the most money for theMake a Wish Foundation through Macy’s Letters to Santa. They also sponsored a child making it possible for him to get his wish. These two beautiful people have raised thousands for community food drives, toy and clothing drives for Dell children’s hospital, books and games for veterans at the VA, toys for make a wish kids, coke tabs for Ronald McDonald house, diapers wipes for the local pregnancy center, snacks for all local first responders, coloring and activity books for local nursing homes. Zack also purchased gift cards with his birthday money to purchase books for the early childhood center and many other things. Why the fundraiser? Soyla was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. She had the surgery and is now facing 21 radiation treatments. Today was treatment number one. I reached out to her and in a rare moment she let her guard down and shared about her medical costs, deductible and copayments. Friends and I decided to try this avenue to help cover the cost of her deductible and copays for her cancer treatments and maybe cover some meals or unexpected expenses. Please let Soyla know she is not fighting alone! Zack is already in a fight for his life let’s let these two angels on earth know how loved they are so she can focus on getting better and her continued care of Zack.
