Dungeness Ranch Pet Foundation Animal Rescue Fund

Dungeness Ranch Pet Foundation a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization has an extensive collection of  un-adoptable pets under their care.  Here is a partial list of animals we are caring for.   Due to the COVID19 Pandemic, our clients have stopped traveling.  We need to raise money to help pay for the care, feeding and veterinary care of our resident rescue animals.  Each animal has a unique story and although we love and understand them, each has issues which make them un-adoptable to a permanent home.  We have taken the responsibility of their care on our shoulders because we don't think these animals deserve to be euthanized or placed in homes that will be unable to devote the love, care and understanding that they each require.  Please help us continue to provide their special forever home that they have each grown to love.  Please review the following photos and read the stories of our extra special rescue animals!  We would love for your to be part of their meaningful lives by making a generous tax deductible donation today!  Maggie

Maggie lived in three different homes before she was a year old.  Her challenging puppyhood means she had developed many bad habits to try to "get her way".  Each time she was adopted out, she ended up coming back for various behavioral issues. Her last home at a shelter she nipped two volunteers and was put in isolation.  Maggie is aggressive to small animals and is extremely prey driven.  She does not like small children or toddlers. Due to her negative social traits that go along with her possessive personality she is better off living at the ranch where she can receive the love and understanding she needs.  Your generous donation will help pay for food, boarding, grooming, yearly vaccinations,  flea medications and routine veterinary care.
Brody

Brody's owner passed away from cancer and he was abandoned at the Ranch. Brody will slip through a gate and run if given the chance and the fact that he does not listen well,  makes for a bad combination.  He hates children and is a nuisance barker.  UPS and Fed Ex drivers beware - you are his nemesis.  Despite all of his issues he is a very playful dog!  We love and understand all of his numerous quirks! Your generous donation will help pay for food, boarding, grooming, yearly vaccinations, flea medications and veterinary care.
Kenobi

Kenobi came to us after his owners decided to have him euthanized because of his protective behavior around their children.  He is the smartest dog we have ever known. Capable of scaling an 8 foot fence, Kenobi can escape any crate, kennel or yard.  He is destructive and is an expert bed and couch shredder.  We welcomed him into our hearts, knowing this boy had very little chance of getting adopted.  Your generous donation will help pay for food, special vet prescribed supplements to calm his anxiety, boarding, grooming, flea medications and veterinary care.
Putty Tat

Putty Tat's owners both passed away and their family did not want him.  Putty is an older kitty (17 years old) and requires a special urinary diet and lactulose medication as he is prone to urinary stones.  Putty Tat had to have a major surgery that was over $1,200.00 to remove stones and impaction in his colon.  Your generous donation will help pay for prescription food, yearly vaccines, boarding and veterinary care.
Acorn Fur & Gray Kitten

These two kitties were living outside under a mobile home scavenging on scraps thrown outside by neighbors.  However, one neighbor threatened to "drown the kittens in a bucket of water" when one of our clients stepped in and brought the kittens to us. Covered in fleas and malnourished, their vet bills along with spay and neutering fees have added up.  Gray kitten is on a vet prescribed special diet.  They are extremely frightened and very shy. Your generous donation will help pay for prescription food, yearly vaccines, boarding and veterinary care.
Nikki Kitten

Meet Nikki kitten a "not so loving" tuxedo kitty who was living in a smoke filled house in a room full of car tires, with an overflowing litter box. Unfortunately, she had to fight for every morsel and is food aggressive.  Nikki is very agitated and will bite for no apparent reason.  We manage her aggressive personality with supplements from the vet and give her lots of love and attention.  Nikki was recently spayed.  Your generous donation will help pay for nail clipping at the veterinary clinic (requiring sedation), routine yearly vaccinations, boarding, special food and medication to calm her agitated personality and veterinary care.
Gurl Kitten

Gurl Kitten is the only female to survive a litter of kittens abandoned in a field behind a shopping center.  Our veterinary clinic worked miracles for these babies who are feral and very people shy. Gurl Kitten (and her brothers, descriptions to follow) are unpredictable and will bite if they feel threatened. We are working with them daily.  Gurl Kitten was recently spayed.  Your generous donation will help pay for her spay, routine yearly vaccinations, boarding and veterinary care.  Must be sedated for any veterinary care!
Panther

Panther is the brother of Gurl Kitten (listed above).  He is a very aggressive kitty who will bite and scratch anyone reaching to clean his litter box or his kitty condo.  Panther is feral and very people shy.  Unpredictable like his sister, he will also bite if threatened.  We are working with them daily.  Panther was recently neutered. Your generous donation will help pay for his neutering, routine yearly vaccinations, boarding and veterinary care. He was the sickest of the kittens and needed subcutaneous fluids daily. These kittens must be sedated which is expensive for any veterinary care!
Scratchy

Scratchy is just what his name says - can't pick him up or pet him without being scratched.  Brother of Panther and Gurl kitten, he too is feral and had an obvious traumatic beginning.  Scratchy was also recently neutered.  He has made the biggest strides as far as his interaction with humans, but he is shy and loves to hide with his little brother, Tiny Little O.  Your generous donation will help pay for neutering, routine yearly vaccinations, boarding and veterinary care.
Tiny Little O

Tiny Little O is the final kitten in the litter of feral kitties.  Tiny Little O was recently neutered.  He is very small and is not a very good eater. Like his brothers, Scratchy and Panther and his sister Gurl Kitten he is feral and had an obvious traumatic beginning.  Afraid and shy he will hide with Scratchy and will not come out.  Your generous donation will help pay for his neutering, routine yearly vaccinations, boarding, special prescription canned food (he will not eat dry food) and veterinary care.  He also is very frightened at the vets office and requires sedation.
Jing

Jing was rescued from the side of the highway in Silverdale, WA.  Obese and abandoned he was destined to be hit and killed.  Jing requires prescription Overweight Cat food from the vet and is learning to trust humans again.  Jing is an older kitty and requires a geriatric supplement for aging joints.  Your generous donation will pay for his routine yearly vaccinations, boarding, supplements and veterinary care.
Beemer

Beemer is a loving African Gray Parrot who came to us when his owner felt he liked living here at the ranch better than being at home.  His diet is daily fresh fruits, vegetables and an assortment of nuts and pellets.  Before he came to live with us, he had an eye injury that requires yearly check ups with an eye specialist and various eye ointments and drops that are expensive and difficult to administer.  Your generous donation will help pay for his continued care, routine yearly veterinary examinations, nail and wing trimmings, boarding and eye specialist care.
Tambourine

Sledge Hammer or T-Rex would be a better name for this little pony.  She is extremely destructive to fences and gates.  She is super smart and super naughty.  She has to be confined in a large heavy duty enclosure when not supervised or she will bend and break all normal types of horse enclosures.  When not destroying our fencing, gates or chewing on our Tuff Sheds, Tambourine enjoys running and playing with our other horses who are disciplined and behave nicely. Your generous donation will pay for hay, supplements, worming, hoof trimming every 6 weeks and routine veterinary care.
