My name is Tricia Pratt. I am a homeschool Mom of 6. Recently after a year and a half of dealing with my husband's alcoholism I was able to get him into the Adult Rehabilitation Center for Salvation Army. However, he is now unemployed for 6 months while he completes the program.
I am a Librarian at our local library but only work 6 or 7 hours a week. I homeschool 4 of my 6 children who are still at home. I am trying to get a night time job so I can continue homeschooling during the day and still keep my Librarian job.
My father who I have been estranged from has cancer and I need to go see him. He has never met my youngest daughter and she is 9. We are hoping to visit for Christmas.
I am trying to raise some money to cover my rent and utilities for the next two months till I can get a job in January when I come back from seeing my father. I am hoping to get back on my feet and gain a little control back in my life.
If you have ever had to deal with alcoholism, it is draining...financially, physically, mentally and spiritually. I am trying to stay positive for my children's sake. Nothing breaks a Mama's heart more than to have your 16 year old "man of the house" ask, "How are we going to survive?" And I can only say to him...I am trusting...Every day...trusting.
If you are able to give any amount I would be so grateful.
But Jesus beheld [them], and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. - Matthew 19:26
