It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Alexandre Roy-Lecompte, at the age of 29, on March 17, 2026, after years of battling cancer.
Alexandre’s journey began at a very young age. At just 13, he was diagnosed with brain cancer. He then endured heavy treatments, including hospitalizations, chemotherapy, and radiation, which he faced with remarkable strength.
Shortly after, at the age of 14, he lost his mother, who was also taken by cancer. A hardship that marked his life forever, but also strengthened his courage.
In 2023, the illness returned.
Despite chemotherapy, Alexandre had to undergo a major 37-hour surgery in 2024. Following this operation, he became paralyzed in his legs and had to live with a stoma. Long months of recovery followed, bedridden at first, then a difficult rehabilitation process.
Despite everything, he never stopped fighting. Between hospital visits, treatments, relapses, and moments of doubt, Alexandre showed exceptional strength and resilience until the very end.
Always surrounded by the love of his family, and especially his father, who was by his side every step of the way, Alex will remain in our hearts as a son, a brother, a best friend, and a cousin—an extraordinary person, always there for others.
Today, we wish to honor him as he deserves by organizing a ceremony in his image. Your support will help pay tribute to his memory and support his father through this immense loss, as he now grieves his son after having already lost his wife.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity, your support, and your thoughts.
