Meet Hunter! On 10-24-2022 Our lifes changed forever! We had a fun packed day pumpkin painting, frog hunting at the creek, Ice cream and figured we would finish out the night with a small bonfire in the fire pit. We was all sitting around it, and after 2 or 3 minuets of it burning there was a explosion that almost took my baby(s). Hunter took 90% of the explosion impact, His middle brother got very lucky with only a couple of small burns , and his baby brother took a hard hit from it as well. Maysen the youngest was admitted to childrens with Hunter. Hunter was in critical condition from his head,face, back, belly, left arm, ears, neck, right arm so he had to be life flighted to Childrens Hospital in Columbus Ohio, where he currently still is! We have had a rough few days since we have been here. He has had 6 surgeries already; his left arm was graphed with synthetic skin to hopefully promote the regrowth of new skin since the fire completely went down to tissue on the entire arm. He is currently in a coma and on life support. 2 days ago, he turned in the wrong direction and wasn't looking so good, as his chest x-ray showed his lungs were swollen and full of fluids. Blood labs returned positive for two viruses, rhino being one of them. We started lacex to help get the fluid levels down in the lungs; he did respond well to it so far. His lungs are too weak to work on their own as they should. They gave him some paralytics to prevent any unwanted movement from him as he had already removed his vent tube once. Now vent tube is wired into his mouth. We tried to wing his vent pressure down some, but he didn't respond well to it due to his lungs being too weak. My other two boys involved in the accident have both been discharged from children's. We're not asking for donations, however, but we are asking for Prayers for him. Any donations that are made will go directly towards gas and food while were down here, as we have a long journey ahead of us. We appreciate you all very much for everything anybody has done to help out.
