We are struggling to get into new housing after a very serious black mold outbreak that our landlord is doing everything in their power to cover up and gaslight all the tenants of the building about despite multiple getting seriously ill and one person even getting head to toe rashes. We are all under-employed and struggling to make rent in addition to making enough for a security deposit (which we are fighting our landlord for, as well as December rent returned) to find a new place to live during the holiday season. We are hoping to win this legal battle but we have no idea if/when we will see our money again. We are asking for 4k to cover 4 security deposits and some hotel fare one of our housemates had to pay out of pocket in hopes of staving off mold illness. I know times are tough for everyone and we appreciate everyone’s position. Anything helps including sharing this fundraiser.
