Emyrose Ice Husband and Family

Hello, we are Pam and Bill Lamphear, friends and brothers and sisters in Christ of Tom and (Emyrose) Ice Husband and their family. Because of strains on their personal finances and health due to the COVID pandemic, we have set up this Gofundme Account for them.

These last three pandemic years have been a drain on the Husband family business income. However, it was their recent bout with COVID, which affected their health and sent ninety-two-year-old Mom Marie to the ICU for nine days, that has put them so far underwater that they really need help to save their home and business.

Any small amount you can spare would be so very much appreciated and would go a long way in helping them pay their overdue bills and rent arrears and allow them to continue volunteering and helping people in our community. Thank you so much in advance for your kindness and generosity. May you be rewarded and blessed in return a thousand-fold!

About the Husband Family:
Tom and (Emyrose Isis) Ice, with their son Red, moved to the Oregon Coast twelve years ago from Citrus Heights, a Sacramento, California suburb. They landed on Lincoln Beach at Depoe Bay. Two years later, they found themselves in Waldport, Oregon. Tom started working at Bill's Chevron. Three years later, Bill’s Chevron became Waldport Tire & Auto, with Tom and two other partner-owners at the helm. While there, Tom was (and is still) considered one of the "best ASE Master Automotive Techs" on the coast. Tom now works as Parts Tech at Power Ford-GMC-Chrysler Autogroup in Newport after working remotely for buybrakes.com. He is still sought after by previous (and referred) customers, and by those who still fondly call him "My Mechanic," for advice about their vehicle.

Ice previously worked at Pioneer Connect. Later, she worked at the former Better Vision Clinic. She is presently managing the EA Multimedia Design Services LLC ("Bright Blue and Yellow Building") on Waldport's Main Street. Previously, and for five years, she conducted this business from home.

Ice and her crew provide our little town, and five other neighboring towns, with invaluable personal and business services; i.e., Notary, Graphics and Web design, Copy, Fax, Digital Prints, UPS/FedEx Outlet, Internet Kiosk with office supplies, and gift shop. Ice says that almost every day since they opened the Center, they hear heart-warming comments such as, "So glad you're here!" "You're a lifesaver!" and many other positive remarks.

Before, and since the storefront opened, Ice was a helping hand to many people in our community. She remains an active and always cheerful volunteer for various non-profit organizations and entities in our community. South Lincoln County Resources, Waldport Moose Lodge (currently, one of the first Lady officers inducted to the new One Moose Lodge), Beachcomber Days, and St. Anthony's Catholic Church, to name a few, are very thankful for her invaluable help.

As volunteer office staff members of St. Anthony Parish, we know how much Father Joseph and the parishioners depend on her. For the last three years, Ice has videotaped, edited, and published St. Anthony’s daily and Sunday Masses on YouTube and Facebook to spread God’s Good Word to all those who were, and still are, shut in due to COVID. She has also provided free banners, brochures, logo design, and website development services to St. Anthony Parish and to many non-profits in the area.

In 2018, because of her generosity with her time and talent, Ice was very graciously awarded as one of the "Community Champions" of the Seashore Family Literacy Center by Ms. Senetila McKinley.

Ice was also designated school field trip chaperone at Crestview and Waldport Middle-High School where her son, sixteen-year-old Red went to school. Incidentally, the fruit doesn't fall from the tree; Red, in addition to his volunteer work at St. Anthony Parish as a Lay Minister, finished an accelerated home school program during the Covid pandemic and graduated high school last June, two years ahead of schedule. In addition, all three family members were also busy taking care of Tom’s ninety-two-year-old Mom Marie who was invited to move into their home in 2017.

However, with the recent pandemic and current economic downturn, the Husband family needs assistance. Because they had opened their small business just a few months prior to the onset of the COVID Pandemic, their finances took a gigantic blow. Even though the Centre needed to cut its operating hours in half, it still needed to pay the full cost of rent and utilities. Nonetheless, the family was grateful that they were able to remain open for a few hours a day to provide services to the people who really needed them. During the peak of the pandemic, Waldport Business Centre was the only place where people could go to send their unemployment claims, insurance claims, or send packages to their loved ones who needed basics like toilet paper.

Still, running the business has been quite a challenge. Much of Tom's salary, which was meant to take care of their personal rent, home utilities, and other expenses, needed to be diverted to finance their business. Ice, previously Finance Manager and Treasurer of their family corporations in Asia, struggled to juggle their finances and stay afloat.

The family hasn’t given up, and late this September, on the 28th, they will celebrate their storefront, Waldport Business Centre’s three-year anniversary. Also, the family is now recovering from their bout with COVID, celebrating and praising the dear Lord for Mom Marie’s safe return from her nine-day stint in the hospital and rehab.

Thank you for your help. And, even if you can't help financially, prayers for the Husband Family are very much appreciated. God bless you all!
