As some of you know my nephew was in an auto accident yesterday. He is five years old. He and his dad gf were driving not far from their home when they went off the road. When EMS arrived on scene he was non-responsive and had no heart beat. They got him to the hospital and got a heart beat started and put on a vent. and quick as they could. He was Stat-flighted to Kosairs and surgery on his abdomen was performed due to fluid build up in his stomach. His surgery was successful and he is healing from that. However, he hasn't woke up yet. They are not sure why he won't wake up and he isn't breathing on his own. They are doing test and we are just waiting on results and for him to pull through and wake up.

His parents are by his side as any parents would be in this situation. This also means they are not working. His mother, my sister, works 2 to 3 shifts a day to make sure her bills are paid. She isn't a salary employee or doesn't get sick time. When she doesn't work she doesn't get paid. His father is self-employed and the same goes for him.

Right now, the only thing we can do for them is pray and help where we can. Our family feels like we are just "doing nothing" but unfortunately there isn't anything anyone can do right now. However, I figured I could at least get this started and see if we can help decrease their financial stress/worry so that they are focused solely on their little boy. even if you can't help with this, share and pray for them, he needs all the thoughts and positivity he can get right now.
