On Monday May 12th, Nate was in his bedroom, when the smoke alarms went off. Nate rushed downstairs to a fire that was quickly spreading. Scrambling madly, he was able to secure his dog, Stevie, but not Nix, the cat, before 911 told him to get out. Even so, he spent two days in the emergency room due to smoke inhalation.
The damage to his home is extensive and it will not be livable for many months. Almost all his belongings were destroyed.
Nate is richly deserving of help in this time of tragedy. He is always lending a hand to any friend that needs it. For me personally, he helped me find a car, helped me search for apartments and told me about the job I have now. He even offered his van and drove to Syracuse with me to pick stuff up from storage. I have stayed with him when I was between homes and worked out of his house. I know he does this kind of thing for everyone that crosses his path!
Let's help get Nate back on his feet. Funds raised will go toward emergency living expenses and replacing clothing, bedding, furniture, kitchen goods and other household and personal belongings lost in the fire.
Thank you for your support. Let's be there for Nate the way he's always been there for us!
