Hello my name is Emie Dunagan and I am 18. I am the owner and operator of Em's Delights Bakery, LLC in Louisville, Kentucky. I got my start in baking as little girl in my Nana's kitchen and I have expanded my passion from there. I officially  formed my LLC (limited liability corporation)  in May of 2014.

I first started out operating Em's Delights Bakery out of a local coffee shop in Louisville, Kentucky. Once my business had out grown that location I moved into a shared commercial kitchen space in Portland, called Chef Space.

Since moving into Chef Space I have grown my business ten fold and increased my revenue 10%. I now have 11 accounts with Heine Brother's Coffee, the largest local coffee chain in Louisville, Kentucky. As well as a few other smaller accounts like a Boo Boo’s Smoke Shack, a local barbeque food truck, and The Table Cafe, a local pay-what-you-can concept cafe in Portland.

Now as I continue to acquire more accounts and take on more custom orders I am quickly growing out of Chef Space and need to move into the world on my own. I need my own kitchen space to operate and continue to grow Em's Delights Bakery.

So I have found and signed  the lease for a rental property in the center of Portland's business district. Right next to Sandy's Florist on Portland Avenue I will run Em's Delights Bakery.  This space allows me room for growth, including the potential to open a store front. 

With your help I would be able to cover some startup fees that come with reconstructing a kitchen. I need the following large expenses: 
      ~ Convection oven
      ~Freezer
      ~Speed racks
      ~Stand mixer'
      ~Security system 

Once I acquire all these items the space will be ready for Em's Delights Bakery to open immediately! Then once I am settled into my new space I will begin the preparation that comes with opening a store front to the public. 

So with your donation I will become the first 18 year old entrepreneur to open their own bakery in Portland.
