Em’s plagiocephaly & brachycephaly journey

Hi my name is Becca, I am fundraising for my sweet baby girl Emmy. Emmy is 4 months old, and currently going through treatment, physical therapy, multiple doctor appointments, hospital stays for her Plagiocephaly/Brachycephaly/Torticollis diagnosis. We are also waiting to see if our sweet girl will need surgery on her head due to the back side fontanelles potentially being fused shut too soon. We have been advised to watch for seizures, or abnormal behavior, but by the grace of God have been fortunate enough not to see those results in her behavior.

It has been a long, yet few short months full of what seems like endless doctor visits, specialists, tests, and drives to childrens hospital. Doctors have determined this may have been caused inside of the womb and/or during delivery, there is no evidence that a lack of tummy time nor anything preventable to have caused this.

 I don’t share much about our sweet girl but I am sharing our journey in the hopes we are able to fundraise during this time. It would mean a lot to my family and I for any funds raised so that our small family is able to take time off from work and go towards any and all treatment not covered by insurance for our sweet girl.

We have one hospital stay coming up and possibly another if determined she needs surgery. We will continue to update our family and friends on our journey and ask for continued prayer and support during this time.
