Em's New Album

Hey buds,

Thanks for being here! For those of you who don't know me, my name is Emily Chambers and I am a musician who has been on this musical journey for many years now. I released my first EP Magnolia in 2016, followed by my first US tour. I moved to Nashville in 2018 and released a series of singles over the next two years, resulting in my second EP Start Again. Then in March of 2020, I flew home to Vancouver with a carry-on suitcase thinking I would "wait this thing out" and a lot changed...

My forced break from the stage made me throw myself into writing and creating like never before; it was my sanity. I began exchanging ideas via voice notes, word docs, and logic with my buddy Griffin, lead singer and writer for the band Stoop Kids. Over the course of two years, the songs began to take shape, and in March of 2022 I went to Nashville so we could get in the same room and flesh them out... but then we just ended up writing more songs.

All this to say, I am beyond stoked to announce that my first ever full-length album is well underway, and I couldn't be more excited to start sharing singles with you this fall! In June, I went back to music city to record vocals; we cut 10 songs in 5 days (that is a lot of singing). Since then, Griffin has been working behind the scenes putting the finishing touches on each track. Now, we just need to get these songs mixed and mastered so we can release them into the world!

Here's where you come in. Each song costs $300 USD to be mixed and $100 to be mastered (these are quoted rates from people I am working with). 12 songs X $400 = $4800. ***This does not factor in any other costs, like paying for musicians, engineers, photoshoots, album artwork, etc. This is $4800 for the mixing and mastering of my album, and I'm only asking you to meet me halfway : )

As a lover of my music and a supporter of my journey, or just a lover of MUSIC and musicians who make ART, please consider donating to the completion of this album. Think about it, $400 is like buying a song! You can be like "Hear that song? Yea I paid for that". $100 is like buying a master! $50 is like giving me a hug and $10 is like a high five, and man do I love high fives. It's never fun to ask for money, but in a time when you are basically giving your music away for free to an algorithm that changes on a monthly basis, it's hard not to.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and for supporting me in all the ways that you already do. Much love to you!

Em.
