Hello! We are Edmunds Middle School, a public school in the heart of downtown Burlington, Vermont. Our school of 350+ students is the most diverse middle school in the state, and strives to make every child feel at home.

We are beginning a fund for a Student and Staff Lunch Program, "EMS Eats Together" (or EET!), placing our school lunch period at the heart of building community. This fund will support two teachers or staff members joining students for lunch every day across all three lunch periods.

Nothing connects us quite like sharing a meal, and we want to make sure our students see caring adults in the cafeteria every single day. Each meal for a teacher costs only $5! Thank you for being a part of our caring community and supporting this effort.

$5 - a single meal for a teacher

$30 - a day of teacher lunches

$150 - a week of teacher lunches

A huge part of our mission at EMS is to create opportunities for connection between our students and our staff. We do this through team activities, monthly whole-school assemblies, and our several-times-yearly “Switch It Up” Days, when students and staff design creative activities to do together instead of following our regular schedule. In this same spirit, we are developing our community culture around shared meals - thank you for being a part of it!
