Our mission at EMPWR. has always been to promote the healing and empowerment of all those impacted by sexual or relationship trauma by making healing more approachable - now it's time we work on making healing more accessible too. 100% of your donations to the EMPWR. The financial burdens caused by sexual violence combined with general financial insecurity negatively impacts the mental health of survivors and impedes their ability to heal. In fact, the average cost a survivor of rape will incur over their lifetime is $122461 , while 14% of survivors will miss work as a result of the violence they faced. Financial stress is a reality for many survivors and not one we believe survivors should have to face alone.

 

By providing direct financial support to survivors in our own community, we hope to alleviate some of this burden and tangibly aid survivors on their journeys to healing and empowerment. Our starting goal is to support a minimum of 5 individual survivors with $1000 each to alleviate financial stress and support their healing.
