Our family has decided to turn Evan’s Memorial Fund into a Scholarship Fund for first year college students who have been raised with a developmentally challenged sibling. It can be difficult at times to stay focused on your education when you have a special needs brother or sister. Parents may have to choose who needs the most care and attention in a family. Any child who had/has a special needs sibling and has grown into a young adult with plans on attending college will be eligible to apply for a $500 Scholarship. Scholarships will be awarded prior to the first day of Fall Semester 2016 for the college of their choice. An essay about their personal experience, two letters of recommendation, and proof of registration can be submitted by May 31st, 2016. Scholarships will be awarded based on availability.

We are so honored to keep Evan's legacy alive by paying forward the blessings our community poured onto us during our painful time of loss. Thank you all for helping up bury Evan. Now let's send some kids to college!!!!!
