Empowering the Next Generation of Stylists in Namataba, Ugan

In 2009, Helen Margaret Owen helped build a school in rural Uganda from iron sheets and determination. Today, it's a permanent sanctuary of learning, and last year, it launched vocational workshops that revealed extraordinary young talent.
Hairdressing gave me independence when I arrived in the UK without speaking English. It is a universal skill, and a proven path to self-sufficiency.

This year, I volunteered my time to teach, supported by professional equipment from Babyliss and Olivia Garden. The results were transformative.
Now I needs your help to make it permanent.
The goal: a local professional stylist, teaching at the school every week providing the consistent mentorship these young women deserve.

£5,000 funds one full year of weekly training. Not a one-off visit. A career.
