Empowering Teens with Life Skills at Wylie Center

I'm currently working on my Master's in Counseling Psychology at Cal Baptist University and have been given the opportunity to collect the necessary hours to obtain dual licensure as MFT and LPCC at The Wylie Center! Before I graduate in August, I am launching a project that I am incredibly passionate about. I will be facilitating Wylie's first ever Life Skills for Teens group!

I have designed a six-week interactive curriculum for a group of 10 participants between the ages of 14-19 that will provide them with crucial skills promoting self-sufficiency and promoting mental health through trauma-informed education—something that I not only wish I was provided with growing up, but something I wish our adolescents were offered now as they transition into adulthood.

The Wylie Center is a non-profit organization located in Riverside, California that provides programs for children and the community. The class starts this Thursday and my hope is to provide each of the 10 participants with a $50 gift card at the end of the course as a “graduation” gift to plant the seed of giving back to the community as they venture into adulthood.

I’m looking for 100 awesome donors to donate just $5 each to reaching my goal!
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any contributions sent this way!!
