Kiajer Youth Empowerment Initiative is committed to creating safe, empowering spaces for youths and women facing significant hardships. Our mission is to support single mothers and survivors of domestic violence by providing crucial resources that address physical, emotional, and economic well-being. Our $100,000 fundraising campaign will enable us to expand essential services in three core areas: shelter and security, vocational training for economic independence, and mental health support. Understanding the Crisis in Nigeria Domestic violence remains pervasive in Nigeria, affecting women across diverse backgrounds. Studies show that one in three women are affected, and the impacts on their children and families are profound. Many victims feel silenced by cultural and societal stigmas, leaving them without options for security or self-reliance. Financial hardship, in particular, keeps many survivors trapped in abusive situations. By addressing these needs, we aim to foster resilience, independence and hope for a better future. Mental Health Services: Offering accessible counseling to help survivors overcome trauma and build resilience.
