Update: My Cancer Journey & Upcoming VMAT Radiation Treatment

At 33 years old, I was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) stage 3C, and after months of chemotherapy, my journey has taken another difficult turn.

When I first shared my story, I was fighting through four rounds of intense chemotherapy, hoping to move forward with surgery to remove the cancer. However, at my first surgery consultation, my surgeon denied surgery, saying it was not an option. I knew I needed to seek a second opinion, hoping for different news—but instead, my fears were confirmed.

At my second consultation, the specialists not only agreed that surgery wasn’t possible at this time, but they also confirmed that my cancer had progressed to Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC)—one of the most aggressive and challenging forms of breast cancer.

Updated Treatment Plan: VMAT Radiation Therapy

After consulting with a second radiation oncologist, my doctors have determined that the best course of action is VMAT (Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy)—an advanced form of radiation therapy that delivers precise, high-dose radiation while minimizing damage to surrounding healthy tissue. This means additional financial strain for:

This treatment is crucial in my fight against IBC and TNBC, but it also means:
Daily radiation treatments for several weeks.
✅ Managing side effects while continuing medical care.
✅ Significant out-of-pocket costs, even with insurance.

Financial Burden & Insurance Struggles

Cancer is not just a battle against the disease—it’s a battle against the medical system, insurance companies, and financial strain. My insurance has an $8,500 deductible, and I’m already $6,000 in medical debt. Every scan, treatment, and consultation adds another weight to our financial burden.

I desperately want to seek a third opinion at MD Anderson, one of the best cancer centers in the country, but my insurance won’t cover it. The out-of-pocket cost just for a consultation is $16,000, an amount that seems impossible right now.

How You Can Help

Every donation, every share, every prayer means the world to me and my family. Your support will help:
❤️ Cover costs for my upcoming VMAT radiation therapy.
❤️ Pay ongoing medical treatments, scans, and prescriptions.
❤️ Give me a chance to explore second opinions and alternative treatments.

Thank You for Walking This Journey With Me

Some days are dark, and the uncertainty is terrifying. But I am still fighting, still hoping, and still believing in better days ahead. Your kindness and generosity remind me that I am not alone.

Please continue to share, donate if you can, and keep me in your prayers. Every little bit helps more than you know.

With love and gratitude,
