Empowering Hearts: Mission Year at Craig Lodge

Hello! This is Joanna, and since September, I've embarked on an incredible, wild journey at Craig Lodge Mission House in the West Highlands hills of Scotland. Alongside a team of 8 missionaries from around the world, we've committed ourselves to a year of prayer, study, community life and best of all spreading the love of God throughout Scotland and England. I have always desired to bring my faith alive to serve others and to bring a little more goodness and hope into this chaotic world. So after graduating from university last summer I said YES to giving a year to the Lord by doing something wild for the Kingdom and became a missionary.

So far this year I've cherished every moment collaborating with the Mission House at Craig Lodge, from organizing retreats for youth, families, young adults and individuals here at the Craig Lodge Family House of Prayer to traveling across Scotland to Aberdeen and Glasgow and Leeds in England assisting in parish mission days. I have also had the privilege of working alongside Marys Meals charity on the Generation Hope Project with Catholic schools around Scotland.

As a team we have experienced amazing breakthrough, healings and people's lives changed and transformed for the better. This year has opened my eyes to my true identity, the true meaning of friendship and loving my neighbour and above all encouraged me to always be a carrier of hope and love to others.
