The emergency situation in Afghanistan has led to the UN chief predicting a humanitarian crisis including food shortages for almost half of the population. 'The Needy' (غربا). charity, located in the North of Kabul City, is collecting urgent funds to provide emergency shelter, food packages, financial support to those most in need.
Allah says: “Verily those who give sadaqah, men and women, and lend Allah a goody loan, it shall be increased manifold, and theirs shall be an honorable good reward” (Quran 57:18)
Remember “Charity does not decrease wealth" - Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

About 'The Needy' (غربا) Charity
Whilst Covid-19 has halted our lives, the poor and destitute people of Afghanistan face much greater and overwhelming realities and endless struggles that makes the virus seemingly insignificant. War, poverty, displacement and insecurity has caused many to migrate to the capital in a bid for survival. Women and children (often widowed or orphaned) are amongst the most vulnerable with no real food or accommodation. Temporary support is never a long-term solution, therefore we have established a women's charity Workshop in the North of Kabul, aimed at educating, creating jobs and generating sustainable charitable income .

We have began setting-up the foundations and renting the required space but need urgent funds to complete, maintain and start running the main activities of the centre including:
1. Educational section - funds needed to purchase educational resources, including books, computers, printer, scanner and stationery.
2. Sewing, crafts, gift-wrapping and multiple design sections - aims to train professional tailors and designers. Funds needed to purchase equipment, fabric, materials and supplies.
3. Food packages, financial support and sponsorship of families of widows and orphans especially - emergency fundraising now...
