Empowering Coney Island's Youth Together
Donation protected
My name is Lakeisha Bowers ,and I am the Founder and Executive Director Brighter Stars of the Future. a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating lasting change in the Coney Island,Brooklyn community. Established in 2013, our mission is to provide young people with a safe space where they can trust and rely on positive support while learning essential life skills.
One of my proudest upcoming initiatives is a 4-week mentorship and internship program for youth ages 13-15. The program will provide hands-on learning, resume building, and financial literacy, helping our youth understand the value of money and prepare for their future careers.
Most programs for youth typically begin at age 16-18, but we believe that young people aged 13-15 should be given the chance to gain real- world experience before they reach adulthood. This program will help keep them engaged, motivated, and out of trouble while also empowering them to earn their own income.
To make this program a reality, I am seeking to raise $10,000. This funding will help us provide stipends, lunch for the youth participants and continue growing the program every year, Your support will allow us to expand and positively impact even more young people in our community, helping them build a brighter future. I would be incredibly grateful if you could consider donating to this great cause. No contribution is too small, and every dollar helps us bring our vision to life.
