I represent the values of leadership, grit, grace, and service. As a first-generation student, my journey shows the ups and downs of navigating college and life. My journey not only shows my own success, but it also represents a true testimony of breaking barriers and creating a generational trend. I want to use the platform of Miss Black and Gold to show others that we are not defined by our circumstances. To show that our circumstances are what we make them. I also want to use this platform to bring awareness and community to an issue that deeply impacts the black community. In the United States, black women and their babies face disproportionately higher rates of maternal complications and infant mortality. This crisis needs immediate attention, education, and action. As Miss Black and Gold, I will use my voice and role to raise awareness about disparities and promote resources to the black community. My goal is to empower women with knowledge and encourage them to access quality health care and resources. To me, Miss Black and Gold is more than a title; it is about service, advocacy, and impact. The funds raised will help me earn points toward winning the pageant and also give local businesses a chance to promote themselves through my journey. Your support will not only help me reach my goals, but also create opportunities for others in our community. Please share and donate to support my journey and help me make a difference.
