Hi, I am Victor, a 39 year old currently living in Stockholm, Sweden.
In July 2024 – like a bolt from the blue – I was diagnosed with stage 4 gastroesophageal cancer. The outcome of any distantly spread solid tumour is uncertain at best and a quick demise at worst.
Luckily, once I finally got my diagnosis, my mind switched to a full-on war mode where I have been using every last drop of my energy – and quite a few Swedish krona out of my wallet – as best I can to improve my odds of beating these vile chaos demon cells lurking deep inside me…
In conjunction with receiving conventional treatment for stage 4 solid tumours – aggressive chemotherapy and immunotherapy – I have developed sophisticated protocols of my own to:
- …decrease the damage done to my body by aggressive systemic therapy
- …increase the efficacy of systemic therapy in fighting the cancer cells
- …maximize my recovery between treatment cycles and build a physical buffer to enable future treatments
- …strengthen my mental resilience
Throughout the implementation of these protocols, I have kept a steady documentation of everything ranging from water-fasting and meal-to-meal dietary intake to perceived day-to-day symptoms. I have also had additional extensive blood test taken to correlate my protocol changes with health outcomes and am now continuously tracking health measures such as blood glucose/pulse/HRV/sleep quality and more using smart gadgets.
I am in active dialogue with the Swedish healthcare system and cancer patients worldwide with the aim of spreading the knowledge and insights I am continuously collecting along my own health journey, as well as relating them to research findings, in order to:
- …empower all cancer sufferers to be more active in affecting the outcome of their diseases and treatments
- …influence healthcare systems worldwide to adopt a more patient-centric and patient-empowering approach to cancer care – which would undoubtedly lead to better health outcomes and decreased healthcare costs

- Publishing of educational and inspiring content on Instagram and YouTube spreading important information on how to protect yourself from chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatment, how to optimize your diet and exercise regimen as a cancer patient etc
- Filming of a documentary following my struggle to beat cancer and the spreading of the important messages of self-empowerment and patient-centric healthcare
- Connecting with countless other cancer patients worldwide to support them in taking more ownership of their own health journeys
- Self-publishing of a scientific article in a peer-reviewed journal detailing my holistic approach to cancer treatment, combining conventional systemic therapy with self-developed protocols.
- Direct lobby work to increase patient-empowerment and patient-centricity within the Swedish healthcare system – particularly within cancer care
I have actively decided not to donate any percentage of your contribution to cancer research, as I feel cancer research is already heavily funded and the perspective of empowering each individual in their struggle is not getting enough attention in the public eye – and within healthcare systems worldwide – so any and all contributions will instead go towards furthering this goal!
