AM CHARLES LUYOMBO.
I want to share a reality that often remains hidden in the shadows of our community. I look into the eyes of young girls—children who should be dreaming of playgrounds and schoolbooks—but who instead carry the silent, heavy burden of HIV. These girls didn't choose this path, yet they wake up every day facing a world that often meets them with fear instead of a hug.
Taking care of these young people is about so much more than a clinical prescription. It is about creating a sanctuary where their status does not define their worth. When we provide them with consistent healthcare, proper nutrition, and the psychological support they need to navigate adolescence, we are doing more than saving lives—we are reclaiming futures.
We are ensuring that their potential isn't cut short by stigma or neglect, but rather fueled by the knowledge that they are loved and protected.
Every young person we reach represents a chance to break the cycle of despair. By standing by them, we show them that a diagnosis is not a dead end, but a challenge they can overcome with a community behind them.
To see this vision coming to life is a testament to the power of collective kindness. A profound thank you goes out to all the people who have agreed to come out and stand with this project. Their commitment is the foundation upon which these young people will build their lives. thank you
