Empower Zeno: Single Mom's Path to Education

I am Jonisha Banks-Zeno, but I go by Zeno. I am a single mother of 5 children, one with complex disabilities and one with type 1 diabetes. I am currently enrolled at American Health Education in Livermore, CA. I am pursuing my career in the medical field with emergency medical technician. My class starts February 10, 2025, and ends March 13, 2025. They are asking for a grand total of $3,100. There are two options: one is to pay in total, and the second option is to pay in 3 payments. Before I can even start the class, I have to pay an upfront fee of $500 for registration, then turn around and pay $1,295 on the day I start, or else they won’t allow me to start. The next two payments are $600 weekly. February 27, 2025, is the final day that all my payments have to be paid off. My classes are Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, for 5 consecutive weeks. I live 36 miles from the school. The commute at that time of day is going to be hectic due to not only traffic but also getting my kids up and out for school while trying to get myself to school directly after the morning drop-offs. I’m no better than the next person that’s looking for a helping hand other than I genuinely need the help. My extra finances go on my children. If it’s not my kids that I have to pay for, it’s my home or car. Life never really stops in my household. I want to further my career in emergency help because that’s all I’m surrounded by due to me being a hospital mom of 8 years now. I want to be able to give back to the world and help like I’ve got the help for mine. Anything helps; I have 3 weeks.
