Greetings,

I'm reaching out here to do my bi-yearly fundraiser for my drum instruction. As many of you know, my passion is to teach West African drumming and culture to high school and middle school age students. Currently, all of my students are from first-generation, economically disadvantaged families. This work goes beyond the classroom and empowers them with confidence and self-knowledge as people of the African Diaspora. It plugs them into an appreciation for their history and for the cultures of others.

So many of them are passionate about drumming and consistently beg me for the next class. Any amount you can help with will be appreciated. Helping me with this helps to build my classroom and further my vision of expansion so that I can one day transition into this as full-time work.

The goal is for $1000; $800 of which will go to a new set of Dun Dun's and $200 for drum repair. Thank you so much in advance for your support.
