GreenVibe World is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the health of our natural environment and strengthening our local community through hands-on service. We’re ultimately raising $60,000 to support our programs throughout 2026, and we’re grateful to announce that we have a generous donor willing to match up to $30,000 to help us reach our goal so we are inviting new supporters to join our mission.

Whether you’ve lived in the Truckee Meadows your whole life or just discovered our work today, your contribution directly supports projects that protect land, water, food systems, and local youth.

What We Do

GreenVibe World operates five core programs designed to create cleaner spaces, healthier people, and a more resilient community:

Community Clean-Ups

We organize weekly and large-scale, community efforts to remove trash and pollution from the Truckee River and surrounding outdoor areas.

Learning Garden Food Share Program

Our educational garden grows chemical-free produce that we donate to the Ronald McDonald House, community members in need and our volunteers, while teaching families how to grow food sustainably.

Land Stewardship Program

We manage and restore a 15-acre riverfront property through invasive species removal, clean-up operations, habitat care, and camping/trespass prevention. More support would help us expand these stewardship programs throughout the Truckee Meadows.

Defensible Space Program

In partnership with NV Energy and the City of Reno, we create fire-safe zones around homes and properties to reduce wildfire risks.

️GreenVibe Guardians Program

This youth-centered program works with Parole Bureaus to help at-risk teens build structure, gain community service hours, learn healthy routines, and develop job-readiness skills.

In the future—and with sufficient funding—we aim to explore opportunities for Guardian graduates to earn part-time work through environmental service projects. Your support helps us grow the foundations of this effort while giving us room to scale responsibly.
