Empower Youth: Honor Saheed and Sheku's Legacy

Donation protected
Dear Friends and Supporters,
I am writing to you today with a heavy heart, as we remember and honor the lives of two beloved individuals who have left a lasting impact on our community. My son, Saheed Gayle Kallon, and my father, Sheku Mohammed Kallon, may no longer be with us physically, but their spirits live on in the work we are doing to support our youth.

Saheed Gayle-Kallon tragically lost his life to senseless gun violence in October 2020, while pursuing his education and career. In his memory, I have vowed to keep our youth off the streets and engaged in positive activities through our “Save the Youth” initiative. This program, started by Madam Theresa Kallon, is a FREE enrichment program designed to empower and support young individuals who may not have access to traditional education or resources.

My father, Sheku Mohammed Kallon, was a well-respected man in Pujehun District Kundorwan, known for his generous heart and community spirit. His passing in October 2020 has only fueled my commitment to creating opportunities for our youth to thrive and succeed.

Many young people around the world face barriers to education and opportunity, leading them down dangerous paths towards addiction and despair. Our “Save the Youth” initiative aims to break down these barriers and provide a pathway for success through mentorship, education, and support.

I invite you to join us in this important mission to honor the legacies of Saheed Gayle and Sheku Kallon by supporting our youth and investing in their future. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of young individuals who deserve a chance to succeed.

On behalf of Youth Rise Above, located at 31 Jah Street in Pujehun Town, Pujehun District Sierra Leone West Africa. At our tuition-free technical vocational training center, we empower our students daily with priceless knowledge for an optimistic future.

I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge Youth Rise Above staff's commitment to innovation within the Pujehun Community. I am grateful to those individuals whom I could rely on for support and guidance throughout our interactions. Your contributions will not go unnoticed, and we are truly grateful for any financial support you can offer.

I am pleased to extend this invitation to you to attend our first Youth Rise Above graduation on Friday, October 25th, 2024. We understand the importance of empowering our youths through education and mentorship, and we believe that your presence at this event would truly inspire our graduating students.

Taking time out of your undoubtedly busy schedule to visit our campus speaks volumes about your dedication to supporting our cause. Although Youth Rise Above is a new entity in this community, our mission is clear - to make a positive impact on the lives of our students and the wider community. Our US based team will be traveling to Sierra Leone in October for a free medical mission and graduation ceremony.

We hope to see you there to celebrate the achievements of our students together.
However, if you are unable to attend, I humbly request your financial contribution to assist us in preparing a memorable graduation for our youth. Your support is greatly appreciated and will make a significant impact on the success of this event.
